Here at the Glass Workshop we use the fallen volcanic ash to create beautiful works of art, if you'd like to collect volcanic ash to have your own items created please feel free to use our services.

Soot Sack ¥1000 used to collect volcanic ash.

Collection ash is fairly simple, all you need to do is run around on Sooty Mountain. For every 50 words you get 1 volcanic ash. So the longer you stay on Sooty Mountain, the more volcanic ash you collect, however you can only collect ash if you have a Soot Sack. Keep tract of your own volcanic ash count. You can use the volcanic ash to buy the following items.

Blue Flute 250 ash wakes a sleeping Pokemon.
Red Flute 500 ash snaps a Pokemon out of infatuation.
Yellow Flute 500 ash snaps a Pokemon out of confusion.
Black Flute 1000 ash reduces Wild Pokemon encounter rate.
White Flute 1000 ash increases Wild Pokemon encounter rate.
