The young trainer took his time going to Blu Plains, allowing himself to cool down. Now that he had a clear head he realized he didn't know anything about his new partner. Curious he took the red Cherish Ball from his belt and threw it onto the grass, releasing the small Swinub.
From first glance it didn't look like a very strong Pokemon, all it was doing was sniffing around the ground. Frowning, he pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the male Pokemon. Swinub a pig Pokemon. It has a very sensitive nose. It can locate mushrooms, berries, and even hot springs buried under ice. As the pokedex spoke the Swinub hid behind his new owner's leg, resulting in Ethan rolling his eyes. Taking out his other pokeball he threw that one too, letting out his Bulbasaur. Catching the pokeball he placed it back on his belt next to Swinub's.
The Bulbasaur sniffed at Swinub before looking up at Ethan."Bulba Bulba?" It appeared to be asking its master if he was really stuck working with the Swinub. Ethan honestly had no idea what his Pokemon was saying, but he nodded his head anyways. "Alright guys, lets go find us a Pokemon to fight." Turning around he looked down at the Swinub who then ran behind Bulbasaur to hide from his master's glance. Sighing, the young man crept slowly through the plains. With his Pokemon in tow, he headed towards some tall grass. Getting ready for a Pokemon encounter Ethan switched the pokedex to silent mode.

The grass before him began to ruffle, curious Ethan peered through the grass, his Pokemon right behind him. Thankfully they both understood well enough to not make any sudden movements or noise.
♀ Rattata lvl3 Pulling out his pokedex he pointed it towards the small purple Pokemon. Rattata a mouse Pokemon. Bites anything when it attacks. Small and very quick, it is a common sight in many places. Smirking he looked down at his Bulbasaur, it was time to shine but he planned on catching this small little rat. They were in the perfect position for a surprise attack, the Rattata didn't notice them yet and if done correctly wouldn't see the first attack coming. "Bulbasaur, use tackle." He whispered, the eager Bulbasaur nodded in response.
Quietly Bulbasaur crept through the grass, making its way directly behind the Rattata. With a slight burst of speed and energy he charged after the Wild Pokemon, who was a bit more than half his size. Closing his eyes tight, his head rammed into the back of the Rattata. "Use tackle again!" Ethan shouted out, as he watched from the side lines preparing to throw a pokeball.
As his master instructed the Bulbasaur once again tackled the mouse-like Pokemon, this time making contact with its sides. However, soon after the Bulbasaur was being hit in the head with the Rattata's tail. Feeling dazed the Bulbasaur stumbled a few steps back, before getting tackled by the Rattata.

Shaking his head, Ethan was disappointed in his Bulbasaur for getting so easily started and confused. But at least this Rattata had a good head on its shoulders. "Bulbasaur! Growl then use tackle!"
The stubborn Bulbasaur did not listen to his master, instead he charged after the Rattata and tackled it head on, resulting in getting his head hit by the female's tail yet again. Falling backwards the Rattata tackled the Bulbasaur, this time making it flinch.
Clenching his teeth, Ethan threw the pokeball at Rattata, hoping to capture it right then and there.

Silently he watched as the Rattata struggled to break free from her pokeball until finally, the pokeball stopped moving. "YEAH!" Ethan exclaimed before jogging over to receive his newest member. It was only noon and already he had three Pokemon on his first day. Not to mention he made some coins at the casino as well. Ethan was quit satisfied with how his day went so far.
After placing the pokeball on his belt, he knelt down next to Bulbasaur to examine his injuries. "Bulbaaasaauuur" the Pokemon flinched as Ethan ran his hand along his head. It wasn't too serious since the Rattata only hit him once, but he was sure the Bulbasaur had a headache. Reaching into his bag he pulled out some treats, handing some to both Bulbasaur and Swinub - who gobbled them out of his hand then began searching frantically for more. "Hahahaha! You really are a pig." This was the first time in such a long time the boy had laughed without forcing it. He was enjoying his time with his Pokemon, and as long as no one showed up to interrupt him he was happily content with treating them with the love they deserved.
Of course, he was disappointed that Bulbasaur hadn't listened to him. Although he probably had learned his lesson. Standing up he glanced over to Swinub who was wondering away from him. "Hey get back here!" Ethan called out, but the Swinub was too interested in the smell to listen. Clenching his teeth he took out the Cherish Ball and threw it towards the Swinub, recalling the Pokemon. Catching the ball, which bounced back to him, he placed it back on his belt and motioned for his Bulbasaur to follow.
Their training wasn't done yet, his Bulbasaur had plenty of fight left in him and his Swinub hadn't even been used yet. However, his Rattata was pretty weak and did need to heal. With a smile on his face he headed off towards the direction his Swinub had tried to run off to, curious to see what it was that interested it so much. [/size]

♀ Oddish lvl5 Just behind some bushes he spotted the plant like Pokemon stuck in the ground. Bulbasaur seemed to be drawn in towards the Pokemon's scent, just as Swinub had. Confused, Ethan pulled out his pokedex. Oddish a weed Pokemon. It often plants its root feet in the ground during the day and sows seeds as it walks about at night. At first he was unimpressed, so he asked about the move it was using. Sweet Scent, this move lowers evasiveness and attracts Pokemon. Smirking he nodded towards his Bulbasaur and prepared himself to capture it. "Bulbasaur, use tackle to rip it from the ground then use it again to knock it off its feet."
"Bulba!" Agreeing to his masters command the Pokemon raced toward the Oddish letting out a short battle cry, "SAAUUUURRR!" The distance between the two shortened quickly, as he prepared to tackle him. Just before impact he closed his eyes, bracing himself for the attack. Crashing into the Oddish he pushed a bit harder until she toppled out of the ground.
Pulling back the Bulbasaur waited until the Oddish regained her footing before tackling her again, pushing her back to the ground. Standing on top of her Bulbasaur let out another battle cry, "SAUR SAUR!"
Bruised the Oddish attacked back by absorbing the Bulbasaur's nutrients, regaining a tad bit of life. Since they were both grass types this move hardly hurt Bulbasaur, only causing him to close one eye and question the Oddish's attack.
When the Oddish realized this move did not bother the Bulbasaur she let out a super sweet scent, hoping to attract more Pokemon to the area and earning her freedom.

Bulbasaur enjoyed the sweet scent the Oddish had produced but it wasn't enough to do any harm to him. Still ontop of the Oddish the Bulbasaur refused to move, enjoying the feeling of victory. Behind him Ethan clenched the pokeball debating if he should wait to throw it. The more he weakened it, the better chance he had at capturing it. Mumbling to himself he released his grip slightly before yelling out to his Pokemon. "Tackle her again Bulbasaur! Then get off her and tackle again."
It was true that he wanted to capture the oddish, but if he went easy on her then she would be able to respect him as a Pokemon Trainer. At least that's what he knew from the little his dad taught him. The better the trainer, the more the Pokemon listens.
Respecting the orders his master gave to him the Bulbasaur tackled the Oddish again, and in response she let out even more of her sweet aroma. Climbing off of his opponent the Bulbasaur moved around her slowly, watching as she struggled to get on her feet. When she finally did he tackled her to the ground, yet again resting ontop of her.
By this time the Oddish's sweet scent managed to attract two Pokemon.
♂ Zigzagoon lvl 2 --> ♀ Zigzagoon lvl3
Spotting the two new Pokemon coming from the side Ethan smirked. "So.. she is smart afterall." He wasn't sure if the Pokemon had come to her rescue or if it was just because they smelt something sweet but he did know that now he had a slight problem. Grabbing the Cherrish Ball from his belt he threw it, releasing his Swinub. "Alright Swinub let's see what you've got! Use Tackle on those two.. " His scentence was cut short when he realized he had no idea what they were even called, but he didn't have time to check now.
Returning his glance to the Oddish he called out to Bulbasaur, "Alright Bulbasaur, get off her and go help out Swinub!" Bulbasaur nodded and headed over to Swinub.
Grabbing onto his empty pokeball he tossed it at the Oddish.

Meanwhile Swinub charged after the smaller Zigzagoon (male) using Tackle to get a headstart in the battle. Right after smashing into the male, the female tackled Swinub causing him to get knocked off his tiny little feet. "NUUB" He cried as he got hit. The pokeball hardly shook when he threw it at the Oddish, it didn't have much stregnth left to put up a fight after Bulbasaur was done with it. When the ball remained still, Ethan went over to get it careful not to get in the way of the fighting Pokemon.
After picking it up he turned to the two wild Pokemon and pulled out his pokedex. Zizagoon a tiny raccoon Pokemon. It walks in zigzag fashion. It is good at finding items in the grass and even in the ground. Intriqued he looked up, and watched as they fought.
Without giving the female Zizagoon time to think, Bulbasaur tackled her. He hit her hard, and sent he crashing into the smaller male Pokemon.
"Swinub! Bulbasaur! Use Tackle NOW!" Ethan called out, his two Pokemon were on the other side of each other, the Zizagoon stuck inbetween them. Being hit like this would surely cause more damage than normal, since they'd be hit into each other's pointy bodies.
Nodding to their masters commands the two Pokemon charged, closing their eyes as their bodies made contact with the wild Pokemon. When they hit the Pokemon both could feel the pressure from the other side, causing them to get hurt slightly too.
Pulling away from the pair of Zizagoons, they were shocked when they both attacked back, tackling both Swinub and Bulbasaur. Flinching slightly from the pain Bulbasaur let out his battle cry before tackling the female again, his face crashing into hers. He was more than double her size, so he had the advantage in this fight.
"Swinub! Help out Bulbasaur!"
Swinub shook, trying to free himself from the painful tackle. "Swin Swin!" He called out before charging at the female Zizagoon, hitting her from the opposite side of Bulbasaur.
The female Zizagoon flinced slightly before growling at the two Pokemon. While she growled at them, the male tackled Bulbasaur, considering him to be the bigger threat.

Both Pokemon were getting tired, but they knew they had to keep fighting to please their master. Before Ethan was able to yell out more commands both of the wild Zizagoon growled, making Swinub and Bulbasaur's attacks slightly weaker.
"Bulbasaur, Swinub! Tackle them both twice!"
Both Pokemon nodded in response, ready to push past their pain and finish this battle. Bulbasaur went first, charging at the female Zizagoon and crashing into it with his body. As he did so the male Zizagoon came after him, tackling him and sending him flying. Flincing in pain, Bulbasaur rested a bit before attacking again.
After the male crashed into Bulbasaur, Swinub tackled him back, before turning his attention to the female, who seemed ready to attack the weakened Bulbasaur. "SWINUB!" Before giving her the chance, Swinub tackled her.
Bulbasaur nodded to Swinub, happy to of been momentarily protected.
"Bulbsaur, dont hit the female!"
Hearing his master's call he ignored the weak female and turned his attention to the male. Rushing over to him he tackled the smaller Zizagoon, before he couldn't move anymore.
Seeing his weakened pokemon Ethan called out to him, encouraging him, "Just a little bit longer Bulbasaur, hold on!" Ethan grabbed the pokeball from his belt and threw it at the collapsed female.

Catching the Zizagoon Ethan smirked, and looked towards his now weakened Pokemon. "Bulbasaur, use growl. Swinub tackle that male from both sides!"
Barely able to move the Bulbasaur growled at the male Pokemon, he was just stubborn enough to stay in the fight.
Swinub charged at the smaller zizagoon, happy to please his master. He tackled the Pokemon once, sending him to the ground. Instead of tackling again right away he pulled back, giving the Zizagoon some room.
Bulbasaur used this time to once again growl at the Zizagoon, making his moves even weaker. Of course by now the almost defeated Pokemon was angered by the Bulbasaur and charged after him, causing Bulbasaur to close his eyes, ready to embrace the impact.
Thankfully Swinub was on his feet tonight. Just before the Zizagoon was able to deal the blow to Bulbasaur he managed to tackle him, taking him out. That was it, the fight was over.
The end result of this long day? Three new Pokemon and a badly injured team.
"Good job you two! Bulbasaur, Swinub Return." He threw their balls at them, and both Pokemon materialized into the ball. Catching the two pokeballs he placed them back on his belt. He now had a team of Pokemon that desperatly needed some attention. "Don't worry you guys, we'll be at the Pokecenter soon."
With that final bit of encouragement and love, Ethan took off. Jogging back to town so he can give his Pokemon some much needed rest. He could use the time they needed to heal to get some shopping done.

After a night's rest Ethan came back to Blu Plains to continue his training, not really interested in going to the next town yet. The sun hadn't fully risen yet, his mother always woke the family up super early.
Ethan found himself slowly walking through the plains tall grasses, searching for a Pokemon to fight and possibly catch. His plan was to get all his Pokemon to at least level ten before heading off into the Academy. He wanted a head start, to be better than any student there. Smirking, Ethan grabbed one of the Pokeballs from his belt, pressing the center button to enlarge the ball. "Get ready to fight Ratatta." He had yet to test out his new Pokemon in battle, although he already knew how well they could battle as he was the one to catch them.
Hearing some ruffling, Ethan pulled back the grass, ready for anything.

♂ Ratatta lvl2
As soon as he pulled back the grass he spotted a tiny Rattata. With his own Rattata's Pokeball in hand he threw the ball towards the wild Pokemon, "Rattata come on out!" His Pokemon materialized out of the pokeball, which bounced back into the trainer's hand. "Use tail whip then tackle him!" Ethan called out, already enjoying the battle.
The female Rattata nodded to her master and charged after her opponent. Just before crashing into him she turned around, whipping him in the face with her tail. This wonderful move would surely make him weaker, boosting her attack's effect on him.
The wild Rattata flinched before backing up slightly, readying himself for his attack. Now out of the reach of Rattata's tail whip he rushed forward, tackling the female.
As soon as she felt the Rattata pull back from her tail whip, she turned around only to get tackled by the wild Pokemon. The tackle sent her back slightly, shaking her head she moved back even more. "Ra!" She rushed forward, tackling the male before her, knocking him off his feet.
The male fell to the ground when she made impact, his tiny claws grasping on the dirt. Getting back on his feet he attacked using tail whip.

Before giving the trainer's Pokemon a chance to attack again the Rattata tackled the female, this time his attack hurt her even more than before.
"Tackle him again Rattata!" Ethan called out, happy to see his Pokemon was winning so far.
Listening to her master she shook off the pain from the wild Pokemon's attack. Backing up slightly she prepared herself for the tackle, eager to please her master. Charging she tackled into the Rattata.
"Quick, tackle again!"
Without giving him a chance to get up the female Rattata tackled him again, knocking the Pokemon off his feet. The battle was over, she won. Happily the Rattata ran over to her master and rubbed up against his leg. "Good job." praising her, Ethan pet her softly before motioning the Pokemon over to another area he believed a Pokemon was hiding.
