These are the Pokemon you are allowed to start with, all of them can be found in the lab. There is only one of each Starter Pokemon until all Pokemon have owners. No matter how old your character is, they must start from square one. They can either go to the lab to get their first Pokemon, or get their first Pokemon from the academy. The only exceptions are Gym Leaders and the Elite Four.

All Starter Pokemon start off at level 5 and only with their basic moves (no egg moves, TMs, or HMs).
