The Pokemon Stadium is quite possible one of the most popular areas in Kettle City among trainers. A large and very impressive looking building, the interior is even more so with it's constant hustle and bustle, and the numerous arenas it hosts. No matter what level you're at in terms of experience, you'll most likely be able to find a good match up in the Pokemon Stadium.
In addition to leveling up your Pokemon, or getting the chance to use new and exciting Pokemon that the Stadium lends to you, there are other things worth coming to the stadium for. Tournaments are in high supply, and the renowned free-for-all battles that take place in the battle field are increasingly popular amongst trainers and betters alike. Oh and did we mention the rewards for making it to the final stages of each competition?
BATTLING REGULATIONS
The regulations of the stadium are considered to be fairly basic. All general (official) battling rules apply, including the experience gaining and leveling systems, the only difference is there's a bit more of a structure to these battles rather than the random ones found out in the routes and towns.- Unlike normal battles there is only one attack or dodge allowed per post. Also, posts must be at least 300 words long with a maximum of 1,000 words in length.
- Once all of the Pokemon in a trainer's party reaches 0 out of its 12 hit point limit, the battle is over and the winner advances onto the next stage. However, please note that if battles go on for too long staff will step in an announce the winner. On the event of a draw, you both proceed to the next level.
- Battles which have not been replied to in over two weeks, without any excuse, will be closed and neither party will receive anything. A battle must be completed for there to be a reward.
- Most importantly, all battles must follow Cup rules and procedures.
Please note the spectators are permitted. If you would like to have your character watching a battle that is taking place, simply role play them in the stands in the battle thread. Betting, while allowed, is illegal; so be careful not to get caught. If fought betting on a winner both parties will be escorted out of the stadium.
DIFFERENT CUPS
On top of having various cups, each with their own sets of rules and limitations. Trainers may choose to have a single or double battle. Single battles are battles in which there are only two parties. Double battles may have up to four parties (in the case of only three parties, the odd party will be allowed to use six Pokemon instead of three).
Anything Goes / Prime Cup Poké Cup Petit Cup Little Cup
Unofficial tournaments will only have as many rounds as there are willing participants. However, Official tournaments will have five rounds, starting with a total of sixteen trainers. During Official tournaments trainers will be given a special 7th party Pokemon, equipped with the move Fly, to return to the Stadium when it is their turn to battle.
ARENA TYPES
One of the more popular features of the Pokemon Stadium is that there are various different arenas which can be requested, and more are constantly being built. All arenas, of course, have stands where spectators may sit safely, though some on the battle fields are a bit more dangerous than others.
Please note that most arenas are rounded, allowing for stands to rise up on all sides, much like a colosseum. Although a few also feature a theater so speculators can get a better view of the battle.

RENTAL POKEMON
The Pokemon Stadium has all 649 Pokemon, including the powerful legendaries, available for your use. Just understand that once you finish the tournament, the Pokemon are then returned to the Stadium. The Stadium takes extra security measures to ensure all Pokemon are safe from thieves, so don't attempt to steal any of their Pokemon unless you are ready to enter a 4 on 1 match up (in which case if you somehow win you may keep the Pokemon, unless it is a legendary).
Pokemon levels and moves differ based on which cup you are entering, they will only know moves they can naturally learn. This means Rental Pokemon will not know any HM or TM moves, they can however know egg moves. All Pokemon are trained to listen to the commands of both announcers and referees, so if you attempt to break any rules they will instantly be commanded to turn on you and escort you out of the stadium.
